What Should Your Desk, Monitor, and Chair Be Like?
Desk: Your desk can be simple, but remember that L-shaped desks provide more space, better comfort, and help prevent carpal tunnel syndrome. Therefore, it’s recommended to use an L-shaped desk where you can rest your entire arm while using the mouse. See our triple B reference for your workstation below.
Monitor(s): Monitors are crucial for daily tasks, so it’s important to have 1 to 2 monitors sized 23″ or larger to be more efficient. We recommend using a minimum of 2 monitors as it guarantees better efficiency when handling chats and performing other job tasks simultaneously. Considering the quality/price ratio, we recommend this monitor.
Chair: The chair is one of the most important elements for this type of work since we spend almost the entire day in the same position. Therefore, it’s essential to be comfortable, maintain good posture, and support our back. We’ve provided posture tips here and our cost-effective suggestion for purchasing a good chair.
Additionally, consider buying a gel wrist pad with support as it’s an excellent option for preventing carpal tunnel syndrome.
Active Breaks
While the work may not involve physical exertion, it does require mental effort. Hence, it’s necessary to take active breaks not only to clear the mind but also to activate our bodies. Spending prolonged periods sitting reduces mobility.
Therefore, we’ve curated a playlist of active breaks, meditation, yoga, etc., to align your mind and body. [link]
